WriteWP terms of service

Binding terms for WriteWP plans, licenses, billing, cancel-anytime renewals, the all-sales-final rule, acceptable use, and liability limits. Read before you buy.

Last updated: July 21, 2026

All sales are final. WriteWP does not offer refunds, free trials, cooling-off credits, or money-back guarantees. Subscriptions may be canceled anytime to stop future renewals. The current paid term is not refunded. You are responsible for the rights to any content you import or rewrite.

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the WriteWP WordPress plugin, website, documentation, updates, and related materials (collectively, the “Software”). The Software is offered by the operator of writewp.com, doing business as WriteWP and operated by Digital Dive (“WriteWP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Contact: [email protected].

These Terms form a binding contract. If you do not agree, do not purchase, install, activate, or use the Software.

1. Agreement to terms

By purchasing a plan, completing checkout, installing, activating, or using the Software, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy (incorporated by reference). If you act for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and “you” means that company.

Checkout is processed by Freemius (or its successors) as our licensing and payments partner. Freemius’s terms and privacy policy may also apply to payment processing. In a conflict about the Software license itself, these Terms control as between you and WriteWP.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law. The Software is a professional publishing tool for business and personal use consistent with these Terms. It is not directed to children under 16.

3. License and plans

Subject to full payment and compliance with these Terms, WriteWP grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Software only on the number of WordPress sites allowed by your active plan:

  • Single Site — one (1) site you own or directly manage.
  • 10 Sites — up to ten (10) sites you own or directly manage.
  • 1,000 Sites — up to one thousand (1,000) sites you own or directly manage.
  • 5 Sites Lifetime — up to five (5) sites under a one-time lifetime license, as described at purchase (no automatic renewal; still subject to these Terms and any end-of-life notice we publish).

Plans are site-based licenses. We do not sell per-article credits. Exceeding site limits, sharing a license outside your organization without written permission, or reselling activations is a material breach and may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

While a subscription is active and paid, you receive Software updates and standard support as we make them available. We may change update cadence, supported WordPress or PHP versions, or feature scope over time. Lifetime licenses receive updates for a commercially reasonable period while the product is offered; we may discontinue the product or major versions with notice.

You may not copy (except for normal backup), reverse engineer (except where mandatory law allows), remove proprietary notices, or use the Software to build a competing product using non-public aspects of the Software.

4. Acceptable use and your content responsibilities

The Software can fetch, rewrite, and publish content. You alone are responsible for every source you import and every post you publish. WriteWP does not grant rights to third-party content. Importing or rewriting does not make unauthorized republication lawful.

You agree to:

  • Hold all rights, licenses, and permissions needed for each source and each publication;
  • Comply with copyright, trademark, privacy, defamation, advertising, and consumer laws;
  • Honor source terms, robots rules, rate limits, and technical access controls (no paywall or DRM circumvention);
  • Comply with each AI provider’s acceptable-use and content policies;
  • Review AI output before publishing and accept editorial responsibility for it.

Prohibited uses include unlawful content, IP infringement, spam or deceptive SEO schemes that violate law or platform rules, malware, harassment, or any use that creates legal exposure for WriteWP or third parties. We may suspend or terminate licenses for suspected abuse without refund.

5. Bring-your-own keys and third parties

WriteWP uses a bring-your-own-keys model. You supply API keys or endpoints for providers such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, MiniMax, OpenCode Zen, Ollama, or others we support. You pay those providers directly. WriteWP does not bill per article and is not a party to your provider contracts.

You are responsible for provider accounts, keys, spend caps, rate limits, outages, model changes, and output quality. Keys are stored on your WordPress installation and encrypted at rest by the Software as designed; they are not transmitted to WriteWP for storage. Content is sent to the provider you select under that provider’s terms. Third-party failures do not create a refund right against WriteWP.

6. Fees, renewals, cancel anytime, no refunds

6.1 Plans and prices. Current list pricing (USD, may exclude tax) includes Single Site at $9.99/month or $99/year, 10 Sites at $35/month or $300/year, 1,000 Sites at $50/month or $500/year, and 5 Sites Lifetime at $1,200 one-time. We may change prices for future terms with notice through the site, checkout, or email. Taxes, FX, and processor fees may apply at checkout.

6.2 Automatic renewal. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term at the then-current rate using the payment method on file, unless you cancel before renewal.

6.3 Cancel anytime. You may cancel auto-renewal at any time in your Freemius/license customer portal or by emailing [email protected] with enough time for us to process the request before the renewal date. Cancellation stops future charges. It does not refund amounts already paid for the current term. Access typically continues until the end of that paid term unless we terminate for breach.

6.4 Lifetime. Lifetime licenses are a single non-recurring fee for the site limit stated at purchase. They do not auto-renew and are non-refundable.

6.5 All sales final. No refunds. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. We do not offer money-back guarantees, free trials that convert into refundable charges, partial refunds, prorated refunds for unused time, or goodwill credits as a matter of policy. By completing payment you confirm you have reviewed the product materials (including pricing, docs, and features) and accept that payment is non-refundable.

6.6 Chargebacks and payment disputes. Initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal for a non-fraudulent purchase is a material breach. We may suspend licenses, contest the dispute with transaction records, and recover our costs where allowed. Contact [email protected] first if you have a billing problem.

6.7 Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry, suspend activations, or terminate access until payment is restored. Missed renewals do not create a free extended license.

7. Disclaimers

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, SEO rankings, traffic, revenue, originality of AI output, or fitness for any particular publication. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. You must review it. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers; those limits apply only as required.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRITEWP AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO US FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR, FOR A LIFETIME LICENSE, THE ONE-TIME FEE YOU PAID FOR THAT LICENSE). These limits are an essential basis of the bargain and apply regardless of legal theory.

9. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WriteWP and its operators, owners, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your content, your sources, your AI usage, your sites, your violation of law or third-party rights, or your breach of these Terms.

10. Trademarks and non-affiliation

WriteWP is an independent third-party product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the WordPress Foundation, Automattic Inc., OpenAI, Google, or other providers named for identification only. “WordPress” is a registered trademark of the WordPress Foundation. All other marks belong to their owners.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Software and cancel renewals at any time as described above. We may suspend or terminate your license immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, abuse the Software, or create legal risk. On termination, your right to use the Software ends. Sections that should survive (including fees already due, no-refund terms, content responsibilities, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, trademarks, and governing law) survive termination. No refund is due upon termination for breach.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise. Subject to that exception, exclusive venue for disputes lies in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, USA, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. THE PARTIES WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. You may only bring claims in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative proceeding, to the extent such waiver is enforceable where you live.

13. Miscellaneous

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and WriteWP regarding the Software and supersede prior terms on the same subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization. Notices may be sent to the email on your order or to [email protected].

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be noted on the site or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update. If you do not agree, stop using the Software and cancel future renewals.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms or your license: [email protected]. Docs: documentation. Support: support. Privacy: privacy policy.
